Located on the Dublin Road, Trailblazers was set up in 2010 by two guys made redundant from construction industry. The only other option at the time was emigration, so they decided to go into business together. Both were very interested in sports and the great outdoors and having travelled throughout Europe and beyond they saw a gap in a growing market so they decided to set up a bike and outdoor clothing store. This is not just any bike store as they offer much more. The range available in store (everything from cycling and camping gear to kayaks and triathlon supplies) is quite unique in this country, it’s much more akin to a European outlet. Trailblazers caters for the growing interest in walking and hiking in the region. They provide value and very high level of customer service based on listening to the customers’ needs and matching them with the right solution.
Bikes and bike wear are still the number one Christmas gift this year. With an extensive range of mountain, road, hybrid and specialist bikes to choose from Trailblazers also assemble, service and supply parts and aftersales support which means that your new bike will be in the family for a long time to come.
Top class customer service is standard with all purchases (and easy returns if necessary) and free delivery to anywhere is available on all orders over €50 . Check out their Facebook and Instagram pages here!
You can purchase from Trailblazers in-store or directly from their online shop. The store is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm and they have special Sunday opening in December 4th, 11th and 18th from 12.30pm to 5pm
Set up in 2001 in a time before lifestyle shops, Vobe is a must visit when shopping in Carrick. After travelling extensively husband and wife team Vanessa and Kieran bring together a range of furniture, gifts and homewares for the modern home - and so much more. They have been pioneers in the online space and have built up a huge customer base throughout the country and even overseas.
This year people are much more conscious of sustainability and origin of products and Vanessa is delighted to say that they are very happy to discuss and explain where their range comes from including a large selection of Irish produce. Recycled cotton products, for example have been very popular this year and the focus has always been on products that will stand the test of time and last rather than items that get thrown away and replaced often.
You can buy from Vobe in-store 10am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 12.30pm to 5pm on Sundays. The online shop is here and they also offer click and collect and delivery. Vobe Instagram and their facebook page
